Yesterday I heard back from the rental and was a little shocked at how much I had to pay upfront and put down. I had to put down half of the stay plus $110 for cleaning and another $300 for a security deposit. It would’ve been close to $600! I don’t have $600 to put down on a place like that. I talked it over with some of the other people going and we started to look around again. I had heard from someone earlier and emailed them back to see if the rates were set in stone. He was asking $199/night for a place that sleeps 6. I didn’t have a problem with $199 but hey, if you can haggle, do it! He responded and said he could do $189 a night. The best part was I only had to put $199 down to reserve it plus the $199 counted as the security deposit which I’ll get back after the stay. Not too shabby! It’s a hell of a lot better then $600 down!

This place is even better then the first. It’s only 1/2 block away from the beach and is in the middle of everything. You don’t even need a car but we do get a free parking space. It has two bedrooms and two full baths as well. You can see some pictures here and here.

Oh and did I mention we added an extra day onto our stay? We’ll be staying that Sunday night as well and leaving on Monday. Once we started looking at things to do we realized we needed an extra day. We might go to Key West for a day! I’m beyond excited right now. The only thing left to do is airfare!
