Lately I’ve been trying to leave comments on different blogs I come across but when I go to leave it, something happens. I get Comment Blocked. I’ve noticed it happens more with Blogger.com blogs. I hate when you need to have a Blogger account in order to comment. I know people have issues with spam or fake comments but you’re losing out on a ton of awesome and decent comments as well! As much as I love leaving comments and enjoy some of these blogs, I’m not going to sign up just to leave a comment. It really bugs me when it’s someone who’s left a comment here and I try to return the favor. I don’t want the person to think I don’t appreciate their comments ya know? Trust me, I’m trying to return them but I’m being Comment Blocked!
What does everyone else think about this? I’m sure some of you have ran into the same issue.

I’m with ya! I don’t necessarily sign up for any blog until I “get to know them” and make sure I want to hang around, lol… but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to comment! I have literally stopped reading really great blogs because they make me log in every time I want to leave a comment. Sometimes I am just too busy to take the time, lol…. I know that sounds bad – but you totally know what I mean. Sometimes I’m just going for a quick read and a quick comment but when that doesn’t happen – DELETE!

You’re not the only one and its not just blogger blogs either. Its typepad too although I’d love to leave comments I’m not going to sign up for something I don’t use just to do that.

I have been running to the same problem as well. And just like you said, they are mostly the blogger sites.

Yeap, it is very much annoying although I do have blogger account. But, my main blog is a dot com, can’t we leave comment with our own url? Doh..

My mom told me she was having the same problem! Then Dawg found one of *my* comments spammed on Cereal Wednesday! I think Akismet is suddenly being too aggressive? I noticed on WordPress blogs. I think I’m just gonna post a little something: “People, check your spam comments.”
