I thought it would be nice to show you guys where your donations are going. It’s always nice to put a face with something ya know? If you’d like to donate just follow this link. I received a few donations over the past couple days and I’m sitting at $372! Only $628 to go!
This is Riley! He’s a young Labrador Retriever Cross. He’s 1 year old! Riley is an active dog and loves to go on walks and hikes. He’d be perfect for that person who loves the outdoors and needs a buddy to go along.
Here we have Pookie! Isn’t she adorable? She’s a 4 year old Labrador Cross. She might seem a little shy at first but once she warms up to you, watch out! Pookie will need someone to help train her and teach her some doggy manners.
One breed that always seems to be represented in the shelter is the Beagle. This little guy is Basil and he’s 4 years old. He’d do well with someone who knows a little something about the breed. Basil is pretty laid back and would do well in a quite household.

That beagle looks pretty cool. My brother in law has a beagle and it’s really hyper.

Beagles are AWESOME – but they are hyper and can be talkers/howlers. I got my Emma Lou (Beagle) at the pound – she’d been in that same pound more than once poor baby. She is the SWEETEST little dog. I think people don’t realize what they are getting into when they get one and that’s why they end up in the pound.
I’d take Basil in a heartbeat if I was close to where you are B! Emma could use a friend!

That’s what my dad said Lucy! They had Beagles growing and said people don’t realize how hyper they can be. He said that some people try to break them for hunting as well and when the dog doesn’t work out, they just dump them!

I almost used this layout (grin). Love the pictures of the dogs and that you’re so involved in their betterment of life. I had a rescue a short while back and rescued animals.. only did it for a short time but it was rewarding.

We lost our beagle last August.
I love beagles. She was so sweet, loving and loyal. And lucky for us she was totally lazy, lol. She LOVED to sleep. And eat. I wish I could bring Basil home. I love him!
On another note, can you shoot me an email? I had something I wanted to tell you really quick. Thanks!

@BlondeBlogger – my Emma Lou is like that. LAZY LAZY LAZY ass. We joke about her being a cat trapped in a Beagles body. She’d sleep 20 hours a day if we let her. Silly ass dog. <3
