Comic Con Goodies On Ebay

I posted a few items I had leftover from Comic Con on Ebay. Hey, SDCC doesn’t pay for itself! The items I listed aren’t anything amazing. I’ve listed the special Comic Con editions of TV Guide that feature The Big Bang Theory on one and Smallville on the other. I listed a Fox poster tube as well. You can see the listings here. Please feel free to share the links!

I’m Back!

I arrived back home yesterday from San Diego Comic Con!

I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to post about it. I have a billion pictures to go through and upload plus some video and I’m feeling overwhelmed already! It’s almost too much for my travel blog too. I might just create a Blogger/Wordpress free blog to house all of it.

How’s that idea sound?

OMGZ! I leave next week!

I can’t believe it. Next Tuesday I’ll be flying out to San Diego to attend Comic Con and meet LunaStone for the 1st time! I’m beyond excited and nervous and overwhelmed and excited.

I’ll get to be a total FanGirl for 4 days! How awesome is that? I’ll get free swag and awesome pictures and all kinds of stuff! Of course I’m trying not to get too excited incase I miss out on a panel or something because of lines/crowds but whatever! Dexter will be there. Psych will be there. “Abby” from NCIS will be there. Bones will be there. Burn Notice will be there. This will be heaven on earth!

I <3 My Reworked Burn Notice Shirt!

I failed to mention it here but I sent off my oversized Burn Notice shirt to SmarmyClothes to have it destroyed and put back together into something cute. Now I could’ve tried to have done this myself but I have no skills when it comes to something like this. I left it to the professional.

I am beyond excited that I did! Here is what I sent her:

and this is what I got back:

Isn’t it amazing?! I’m beyond thrilled with it. I can’t wait to rock it at San Diego Comic Con this year! Alexis was great to work with. She sent me a few sketches with different ideas and explained to me what could be done and what couldn’t since the image pretty much took up the whole shirt. One idea jumped out at me but I asked if something could be tweeked and she said no problem and explained what would have to be done in order to make it happen. I told her I trusted her since I have no idea how to do anything like this or what goes into it. Plus I had looked at her website and Etsy shop and felt she was the one to take Burn Notice to a new level.

Now it wasn’t “cheap,” I think it was around $65, but it was 100% worth it. Now instead of something I can only wear to bed I have something that I can rock 24/7. It fits perfectly! I can’t wait to order more of her stuff.

Ruh roh! 74% Sold!

I’m getting really nervous for Luna. I checked the Comic Con website and as of right now they’ve sold 74% of passes. That’s not good. Well, it is for Comic Con but not for my friend. I’m really worried that passes will sell out before she’s able to save up enough money for tickets for herself and her two kids.

I know I’ve pimped her out a ton before but I really want her to be able to go and I really want to finally be able to meet an online friend that I’ve had for a few yeas now. If you’ve been thinking about a new blog design or you have a friend who’s been thinking about it please let them know about Lunstone Designs. She’s amazing and affordable. It’s hard find those two qualities in one place. She’s always having specials on both pre-made designs and on custom jobs. Also, unlike some places, if you buy a pre-made it’s yours. She only sells them once.

Even if you’re not in need of a new design please feel free to pimp her out. I really want her to be able to go and I really want to meet her. I think it’s amazing that she wants to take her children along with her. I know I’ve been in a PITA lately about this but seriously, give her a look over! I’m sure you’ll like what you see!

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out! If you do pimp her out please let me know! I’d like to thank those in a post that do! Or if you buy something from her!

Comic Con 2010

It’s coming together very nicely. As soon as I saw that passes were on sale I bought one without even thinking about airfare or a place to stay. After spending a few days looking around at both hotels and vacation rentals I was starting to get a little worried. I coudn’t believe some of the prices. Rentals that were normally $179 a night were now $400. Seriously, that was a quote I was given. Hotels that had rooms around $150 jumped up to around $250 a night. The biggest surprise was that many rentals were already booked for that week. I mean, I guess I’m not really surprised but I am at the same time. Confusing I know. Seeing how places were being booked quickly and low rates were hard I was getting nervous. Really nervous.

While I was doing all this searching I was relaying everything to Luna who mentioned her SIL might be able to help us out. She works for Starwood Hotels and was thinking she might be able to hook us up with a Friends & Family discount. I crossed my fingers because I was worried that since the demand was high that F&F wouldn’t be allowed. I guess crossing the fingers worked because we were able to book a room for $99 a night ($114 after taxes/fees)! How sweet is that?! It’s only 8 miles from the convention center too and since Luna is a semi-local San Diegoen (is that right?) she knows all the “back roads” and what not. Plus it’s not far from the beach! We’ll be there from July 20th-26th!

I can’t believe how quickly all this is coming together. The only thing left is airfare! Oh and if you feel nice and want to help out with costs feel free to use my Amazon links.

P.S.
I found out the other day that 4 Day Passes with Preview Night are already sold out! I’m glad I didn’t wait and bought my pass right away.
