Party Time!

Last night I had a Striperobics party! Ten people were supposed to come but it ended up being only five which wasn’t a big deal. I was annoyed at first but the group that showed up had an awesome time! I provided a nice fruit tray and some wine and once everyone was feeling pretty good we hit the chairs!

The first half of the party is the floor/chair. We made up stripper names and introduced ourselves and had to do a sexy move as well. Then we had to pull moves out of a bag and the instructor would show us the different ways to do the moves. After everyone had their turn we were put into teams and had to come up with our own little routine using as many moves as you could. It was fun watching everyone and seeing what moves people used. I think we learned about ten different moves! My team used four or five I think. Here are some pictures from the chair/floor:

After we worked our asses off doing that we moved onto the pole room. I actually enjoy the pole a little more since I have a hard time with the chair because of my short legs. We learned a couple different spins and transition moves. I love the spins but I have a hard time stopping once I get started! We went over everything a few times and moved onto doing a full routine using what we learned. Some of my friends were awesome at it! I think some of them have secret jobs they aren’t sharing.

Doesn’t it look like fun? If any of you ladies have a striperobics type place near you I recommend checking it out! It’s a fun way to get a kick ass work out.

After the party ended a few of us went out to a bar. I actually got hit on which never happens and ended up making out with some guy. He wanted me to go home with him but I was the ride and honestly, even if I wasn’t the ride I wouldn’t have went. I don’t do that shit. It’s not my thing. It was still fun though and I had a good time!

I hope everyone else had a nice weekend!

In The Midnight Hour

Last night I saw Billy Idol in concert. The show was at Pier Six which is Downtown. I had never been to the venue before but it was pretty nice! It’s outside and right on the water which is great. There was a nice breeze all night that kept us from being hot. The best part is the place is pretty small which means even with lawn seats, you can still see.

I was kinda shocked by some of the people in the crowd. No, I’m not talking about those who were stuck in the 80′s. I expected that. I’m talking about the kids that I saw. There was a little girl near us that I think was maybe 10 at the most? She got into though! I just found it kinda funny and odd. I mean, do they even know who Billy Idol is?

I’d say the show was pretty good. I wouldn’t say awesome though. It started strong with “White Wedding,” “Dancing With Myself,” and “Rock The Cradle Of Love.” The middle of the show was kinda “eh.” The intermission included a pretty solid guitar solo but it went on a bit too long. I love a good rock guitar solo as much as the next person but I’m there to see Billy Fucking Idol. The middle of the show included some of his slower songs and some from his new album that sounded familiar but I didn’t really know them. The end of the show brought everything full circle though when he closed with “Rebel Yell,” “Hot In The City” and of course “Mony Mony!”

I’d have to say though the best part of the show was when he gave a shout out to Michael Phelps! Billy was all “Hellooooo Baaaltimoooooore!” Home of Michaaaaeel Pheeeelps!” Damn straight Billy! Damn. Straight. The 2nd best part was when he took his shirt off.

I’d totally see Billy again. I had a good time and it was such a beautiful night! Even though I thought some of the show lagged, I’d recommend seeing him.

Fun Times

Saturday night I went out with some friends and had a pretty good time. That was until I woke up Sunday morning to find a hickey on my neck. What the hell? Right now it just looks like a rash but yesterday was another story. Here are some pictures!

I hope everyone else had a fun but hickey free weekend!

BlondeBlogger figured it out. The hickey was from the guy in the pictures, CMM of course.

Sugarland!

Before I get into the post I want to thank everyone for the awesome comments on my “I’m Debt Free!” post. It’s because of supportive comments like those that I was able to stick with it and pay everything off 2 years early. Again, I thank everyone for the support!

Times We Pissed On The Side Of The Road: 3
Times Pulled Over For Speeding: 1
Number Of Beers Consumed: Numerous

Was it worth it to see Sugarland? Of course it was! Luckily, I was not the person driving when we got pulled over. The Officer tried to tell us that three people called to complain about the driving. I have no idea why someone would call because we were going with traffic and we weren’t weaving in and out or anything like that. I’m not sure if the Officer was just saying that or what. Then again we were in St. Leonards in the middle of nowhere which might explain something. A few miles down the road after being pulled over for speeding we pulled over to piss. Hey, when you have to go, you have to go. We tried really hard to wait for a gas station or fast food place but all we passed were trees. That was good enough for us. Seriously, by the time we pulled over my bladder was ready to go whether I was ready or not. I guess that’s what happens when you start your night out with one of these from TGIFridays…

You have new Picture Mail!

…followed up by 2 glasses of water and a few beers. After our pitstop though we were back on the road, the road that seemed to never end. I felt like we had been driving forever! We never hit any lights but I do remember 2 or 3 “traffic circles.” That’s when you know you’re in a small town when you have nothing but those annoying circles.

Of course we finally made it to the “venue” and by “venue” I mean the field that had a bunch of folding chairs set up and only two beer choices. All kidding aside it was nice! It was a beautiful and perfect night for a concert. The people who sat behind us were a group of awesome women. They were “awesome” because they didn’t bitch when I stood on my chair in order to see and take pictures. In fact, they told me to do it!

As far as Sugarland goes, they kicked ass. They sang some songs off their new album and performed a few covers as well like “Pour Some Sugar On Me” which is one of my favorite songs ever, especially when I’m drunk. I think they performed 13 songs? It did seem to fly by though. I’m not sure if it’s because we missed the opening acts and got there a little late or what. We got there about 10 minutes before Sugarland hit the stage. I’m guessing that might have something to do with it. If you have a chance to see Sugarland, do it! They put on a great show that’s full of energy!

Enough blabbering, here are a few pictures!

Ohnoz! Group Date!

That’s right. Tonight I have a group date with “The Congressman.” My friend Caron set the whole thing up. It’s going to be pretty relaxed. I think we’re just going to some bars downtown and maybe play some pool.

I’m kinda excited. I haven’t been on any type of date in awhile. I’m nervous too though and I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m going to wear for the past two days. It’ll be nice to actually talk to the guy though since our first meeting was a bit odd with the whole Murder Mystery thing. It’s hard to talk to someone when their character isn’t supposed to be around you!

Of course I’ve covertly let CMM know about this little set up. I haven’t come out and said anything but I’ve mentioned it on Myspace surveys and in my Status bar. It’ll be interesting to see if I get any texts from him tonight.

I’ll try to make a post this weekend about how everything went but it might not be until Sunday. Saturday I’m either going to the Kenny Chesney Stadium Concert OR going to the Mom’s Day Cook Out at my Aunt’s. You’ll just have to sit around biting your nails and wondering until Sunday.
