Just a reminder!

Just a little reminder that I’m an Amazon Associate! I’m sure most of you know what that means but incase you don’t…If someone uses my Amazon link/search box when making a purchase, I earn a small % of the sale.

I know some of you own the Kindle and I just wanted to let everyone know that associates now earn a percentage on Kindle books sales! We didn’t receive anything for the longest time but now we earn anywhere from 3% – 8%.

My goal is to try and average $250 or more a month. I have it setup in a way that all my earnings from Amazon go straight to my ING savings account. After July I plan on not touching the money. I’m trying to save up enough money to put down on a house. I figure between saving up from Amazon plus my tax refund and other money I have laying around, maybe by the end of next year I can make it happen.

Amazon Deals

Since Christmas is just around the corner I’d thought I’d share some Amazon deals. I’m an Amazon Associate which means I’ll earn a small % if someone uses my link when they make a purchase. I’m using the extra money to pay off my credit card and to help pay for some of my trips. You can use my link anytime by just clicking on the Amazon banner you see over in the sidebar. Thanks in advance and now onto the deals!

At the moment Amazon is having an Early Bird Sale where you can save up to 60% on select DVD’s. You can pick up I Love You, Man for just $14.99, 2001: A Space Odyssey [Blu-ray] for just $9.49 or P.S. I Love You [Blu-ray] for just $9.99. Of course this is a very small sample of what you’ll find on sale.

They’re also having a sale on new & recent releases including Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy & BD-Live) [Blu-ray] ($16.49), The Hangover (Unrated Edition) [Blu-ray] ($16.99) and Orphan [Blu-ray] ($18.99). If you’re in the mood to save some money and perhaps pre-order a movie District 9 [Blu-ray] is $19.99 as is Star Trek (Three-Disc +Digital Copy) [Blu-ray], Up (4 Disc Combo Pack with Digital Copy and DVD) [Blu-ray] and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Two-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray]. I believe the last two movies are already available but they are still some good deals!

If you’re into books like I am don’t forget that Amazon has the 4 for 3 Book Deal. In the 4-for-3 promotion, order any four eligible books under $10 and get the lowest-price book free. Don’t forget that in most cases any order over $25 receives free shipping. Keep that in mind when you’re shopping around for your books and just in general. This promotion isn’t just for older books either. You can check out the hot new releases here.

Don’t forget to check out the Amazon Gold Box either! You can find some really good deals there. If you don’t have the time to check in on a regular basis you can have the deals emailed to you! Does it get any easier? While you’re checking out the Gold Box don’t forget to take a glance at the Lightning Deals as well. If you see a deal you like don’t wait! Gold Box Deals are only good for that day or until the deal sells out and Lightning Deals I believe only last 3 hours or again until sold out which happens quite often.

I hope you’re able to find some great deals out there! Again, thanks in advance if you use my links!

Amazon Halloween Movie Sale!

Obviously it’s no secret that I love Halloween and when I saw Amazon was having a Halloween sale I just had to share this news with all of you!

They have some really good deals right now on both DVD and Blu-Ray horror/halloween related movies. The Nightmare Before Christmas [Blu-ray] + Digital Copy is 50% off while The Exorcist (The Version You’ve Never Seen) is 60% off. If you want something even more light hearted then The Nightmare Before Christmas perhaps Scooby Doo, Where Are You! – The Complete First and Second Seasons which happens to be 60% off is more up your alley (STFU, I PPH Scooby). If you want more classic horror/thriller movies The Shining (Two-Disc Special Edition) is only $10.49 and The Silence of the Lambs [Blu-ray] is $17.49.

What? You want something even a little more classic? Don’t worry, they have some “oldies but goodies” on sale as well. The Birds (Collector’s Edition), Dracula – The Legacy Collection (Dracula / Dracula (1931 Spanish Version) / Dracula’s Daughter / Son of Dracula / House of Dracula), Creature From the Black Lagoon, Tales From the Crypt / Vault of Horror (Double Feature) and a ton more older movies are all on sale.

Amazon even makes it easy for you by breaking down the different horror genres. They have zombies. They have ghosts. They have monsters and even international. Seriously, whatever you’re looking for you’ll find here.

What I’ve shared here is just a very small snippet of what you’ll find at the Amazon Halloween Sale . If you love scary movies be sure to check it out!

Amazon Deals & Randomness

I haven’t posted many Amazon deals lately. I don’t have much else to blog about at the moment which means it’s a perfect time to pass along some savings.

You can snag Dexter: The First Season and Dexter: The Complete Second Season for just $16.99 each. That’s a huge savings. True Blood: The Complete First Season is currently 42% off. If serial killers and vampires aren’t your thing, then maybe you’d be interested to know that Mad Men – Season One is $16.99, that’s 58% off. It’s actually been at this price for awhile now but I have no idea how long it’s going to last. You know how Amazon can be with prices. If you’ve been waiting to buy some of your favorite shows now might be the time with the Amazon Fall TV Event. You’ll find Big Bang Theory, Entourage, ER, Weeds, The Wire and a ton more on sale at some pretty low prices.

Since I’m a Dexter fan I thought I’d point out that the next book, Dexter by Design: A Novel, comes out on September 8th. You can preorder it now and save 34%. If you’d like to check out the other books and Dexter items be sure to check out The Dexter Store on Amazon. If you’re a fan of Sookie Stackhouse, you’ll be happy to know you can pick up the Sookie Stackhouse, Books 1-7 box set for $30.76. That’s 45% off. Really, Amazon is a great place to pick up books period. If you’re low on reading material be sure to check them out. You might be able to save a buck or two and if your order is over $25 you can qualify for free shipping sometimes.

Now here comes the random part of the title. If you’re in the market for luggage be sure to check out Amazon first. They have some really awesome deals going on. I was able to get a $500 set for 60% off. They have everything too from simple duffle bags to complete sets and even pet carriers. If you have a need for some luggage I highly recommend checking Amazon out.

Amazon Spring TV Event

Right now Amazon is having a huge Spring TV Sale where you can save a ton of cash on some of your favorite shows!

You can snag My Boys: The Complete First Season for $19.99 and Nip/Tuck – The Complete First Season for $23.99. They even have some 2 for $40 deals like Arrested Development – Season One and Season Two.

Here’s a quick list that show some more examples of the savings you can get!

Stuff I Want

I received an email the other day letting me know that Psych: The Complete Third Season will available on June 21st. I can’t wait! You can actually pre-order now if you want. I already own Season 1 and Season 2. If you’ve been wanting to pick them up, both are on sale for $23.99 at the moment. I think there’s a package too that’s $41.99.

Another show I need to pick up is Burn Notice. I started watching it into the season and I’ve been able to catch up with reruns but I’d like to sit down and watch it all at once. I think it’s a pretty good show but I can’t make up my mind about if I find Jeffrey Donovan hot or not. It changes everyday. I think the eye area is what throws me off from time to time.

My grandfather lent me a Jeffrey Deaver book which I finished in a day of course. Can you believe it? I finished a fiction book in a day? The one he let me borrow was Cold Moon. It had a ton of twists in it that kept me thinking all kinds of shit while reading it. When I finished it I didn’t see half of the stuff that happened coming. If you don’t know who Deaver is, he actually wrote “The Bone Collector” which was turned into a movie. I think I might pick that book up along with a few others. I think I might have found a new author!

There’s some other stuff out there I want too but if I posted everything, you’d be reading for days.

ER The Complete Series For $163.49

That’s right! You can save 65% or $304.49 by taking advantage of this huge Amazon deal! ER is normally $468! I don’t know how any ER fan can pass this up. I’m not too surprised Amazon is featuring ER though since the show ends tonight. I still can’t believe it’s been on the air this long. I watched it back in the day but lost interest in it.

I wouldn’t wait on picking up ER: The Complete Seasons 1-10. I doubt this is going to last long!

That 70′s Show Gift Set For $81.99!

That’s right! You can pick up That 70′s Show, the whole series, for only $81.99!

It’s an Amazon Gold Box Deal which means it’s only good for today or until it sells out! A heads up though, last time this was featured it sold out quick!

Vampires Anyone?

I refuse to fall into the while “Vampire” thing. I like to read and learn about the history behind Vampires. I don’t like to read about Vampires that sparkle in the sun and what not. I do know some of you out there do though and wanted to point you towards a few items that might interest you.

You can find the Sookie Stackhouse 7-copy Boxed Set (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood) on Amazon for $31.88. If you’re a fan of True Blood you can pre-order Season 1 now. It’ll be released on May 19th and is running at $38.99.

If you’re more of a Twilight person, Twilight (Two-Disc Special Edition) will be released March 21st. If you’re a die hard perhaps you’d be interested in the Twilight (Ultimate Collector’s Set) (Amazon.com Exclusive) [Blu-ray] that costs $79.99 and hits Amazon on May 5th. What do you get for that price?

Twilight (Special Edition) Blu-ray Disc
Twilight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD
Jewelry Box: individually numbered
Exclusive Watch
Limited Edition Charm Bracelet
6 Glossy Photo Cards
Bookmark
Certificate of Authenticity

I don’t think I’d shell out that much for it but I know a few of you out there would. If you’re late on the whole thing and need to catch up The Twilight Saga Collection is only $45.65. I believe I heard Wal Mart had it for over $100! What the hell is that about?

Of course if you enjoy a more traditonal Vampire Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Collector’s Edition) is $14.99 and the Blu-Ray edition is only $11.99. Interview with the Vampire [Blu-ray] costs $19.99. I remember when Interview came out. I never thought Vampires could be that hot!
