How do I know this you ask? Because the first episode of Season 4 has leaked! I was looking around Twitter the other night using #Dexter and noticed there was a flurry of of activity. I saw people mentioning that S04E01 has leaked! I started my search and after a few dead ends I finally found what I was looking for.

I really can’t wait now. Dexter is now balancing a new life, including a new baby. Can he really have it all? Can he be the “Family Man,” the forensics expert and please his Dark Passenger? After watching the first episode I can tell you he’s going to have a hell of time doing it all. Oh and John Lithgow? Awesome. Lundy being back? Awesome. It’s going to be a wild and crazy season that’s for sure. There’s a new story line involving 2 of the main characters, not too sure how I feel about it but I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. It just seems a little random and out of the blue IMO. I’m still not sure how I feel about Quin. I still think he’s up to something.

I see Dexter chatting up his new son quite a bit since he has no one else to talk to about his “issues.”

This post was a little all over the place but I’m just beyond excited and I didn’t want to give too much away. Anyone else excited for the new season?

When I checked my email I received a notice that Dexter: Season 3 is now available for Pre-Order. There’s no date listed though for it’s release and I couldn’t find much information out there unless I’m looking in the wrong spots. Once I find out more though I’ll be sure to pass it along.

I will put this warning out though. Please be careful who you order from! Be sure to stick to companies and websites that you know. You might think you’ve found an awesome deal or price but you might get suckered into some membership you didn’t know you were signing up for.

I was looking around Amazon and I think Dexter by Design: A Novel got pushed back a month. I swear it was set for an August release unless I’m mistaken. It’s now going to be available on September 1st but as always that can change tomorrow.

Now that Season 3 is over, I think it’s safe to discuss it. Of course if you’re behind and haven’t seen the last few episodes, you might want to skip this post.

What did everyone think? I know some people are all OMGZ over Dexter getting married but if you’ve read the books, it’s not a shock or surprise. I don’t see it as some huge deal. Perhaps becaues I read True Crime and know plenty of real serial killers have been married with kids, I don’t see Dex having any issues keeping his night job. I wasn’t surprised when Miguel was killed either. It was coming, we all knew that. It was really just a matter of time and I had been saying for awhile that he’d probably frame The Skinner for it. I had people telling me it wasn’t his MO but when it comes down to it, he changes based on the situation. He did the same thing with ITK, his brother. He was forced to change his style if he wanted to save himself. Miguel and ITK weren’t your typical kills, they were animals being put down.

I was glad to see Dexter forgive his father as well. It’s one thing to train someone to kill but to actually see it is another. Dexter needed to get over that. Really, if it wasn’t for Harry he would’ve been caught or in trouble, maybe even dead, a long time ago. I am interested to see how the storyline about Deb looking into Harry’s CI’s is going to play out. Deb isn’t dumb and she’ll be able to put stuff together. She’ll be able to find out that Brain was Dexter’s brother and from there, who knows what else she might uncover. I hate to do this but going back to the books, Deb knows his secret. She’s always known but it would be interesting to see how the character would react finding out later on. Sticking with Deb, I hope they keep her romance with Anton. I feel bad for her in that area. I’d like for her to have a “normal” relationship with someone who isn’t a serial killer and who isn’t old enough to be her father.

I don’t understand why they brough up Rita’s first marriage. Was it to show everyone has secrets? I think it would’ve been better if maybe they hadn’t divorced but instead he had died. See where I’m going with this. Maybe she’s more damaged then we, or even Dexter, know. I just think it was random is all. I didn’t love it or hate it, just thought it was odd and random.

I do have one hope for next season. I’d really like for them not to have another serial killer. It seems that every season they have one. Enough. Can we do something different? Can we please skip a season with that? I know S2 it was Dexter but still, you know what I mean.

All in all, I enjoyed this season. It had the twist and turns we’ve come to expect of the show. Jimmy Smits did an amazing job and really brought Miguel to life. We got to see Dexter grow and evolve even more. I’m really looking forward to next season and can’t wait to see what happens.

What the hell are you thinking? I know you want to be accepted for who you really are, I know you want to be understood and to have friends but seriously? Do you know what you’re doing? Do you understand what you’ve done? You created and unleashed a monster. You “trained” someone without explaining The Code. Hell, create a new code but you can’t let someone in and let them take part in your business without going over everything. I’m hoping everything gets cleared up soon and maybe I’m just overreacting to the past few episodes and previews for the upcoming week but I’m worried! You need to get over the shit with your dad and listen to him. Miguel doesn’t understand what it’s like to have the Darkness. You can’t compare kicking your father’s ass to what you’ve been through and struggle with everyday! You just can’t. It’s not remotely the same level. I thought you were crazy when you started being “buddy buddy” with Miguel and now? FFS Man, get it together! I mean, as soon as he reached for the victim’s ring, an alarm should’ve went off. When he showed up looking like the Unibomber, an alarm should’ve went off. Miguel can’t blend in. He just can’t!

Hopefully I’m wrong with all the thoughts and ideas and theories I have running through my head and everything will turn out fine. I mean, the show was picked up for three more seasons, I doubt youll get busted but still. Chill the hell out with this bullshit!

A Concerned Dexter Fan

“Dexter” has started! I actually saw the premiere weeks ago. Yes, it had leaked online. I had to download it ASAP seeing how I don’t have Showtime. Now I just need to wait for the rest of the episodes to leak and I’ll be set. I’m just glad I was able to get the first episode because I don’t like being behind. If you don’t like being behind, be sure to pick up Dexter: Season 2 ASAP.

In other “Dexter” news, you can be America’s Favorite Serial Killer for Halloween. My friend was telling me that she saw a costume in a Halloween store the other day and I had to look it up. I think Dexter & Rita could be a cute couples costume. What do you think? As far as the costume goes, I think it looks like a mad doctor or something, not Dexter. You’d be better off creating your own.

When asked if Dex might break the code and kill someone innocent, Phillips dished, “Yes, he will. And without giving too much away, I will say we can consider it dropping a pebble on a mountainside filled with snow, and it will cause an avalanche.”

I’m really hoping that the “innocent” person isn’t 100% innocent or it’s a case of mistaken idenity on Dexter’s part. If it isn’t, it turns Dexter into any other killer. He’ll be no different then those he killed in the past, in my opinion anyway.

The rest of the quote though “we can consider it dropping a pebble on a mountainside filled with snow, and it will cause an avalanche” makes me wonder if Showtime already has an end date in mind for the show. I’ve always said it shouldn’t go on for too long. You can only drag out the idea of the show for so long before it becomes dull or redundent. I’d hate to see Dexter become a “typical” or “normal” serial killer. The reason people are torn with their love for the character is the fact he only disposes of “bad guys” and those who deserve it.

The more I find out about Season 3 though the more excited I get.

I’m still in a posting funk. I just feel like I don’t have much to say. It sucks though because I want to post, I just can’t think of anything decent to write. I even thought about doing a bullet post but I can’t think of anything that’s even bullet worthy. How sad is that?
