Selling $15 Orioles Ticket Vouchers

In order to raise money for the 2010 Maryland SPCA March for the Animals I’m selling Baltimore Orioles ticket vouchers for $15. We’ll earn $5 for every voucher sold.

How it works is instead of buying a ticket to a set game, you buy a voucher which can then be exchanged for a ticket to any guy expect Opening Day and “Prime Games” which consist of Yankee/Red Sox games. It’s a great and easy way to see a baseball game and help the Maryland SPCA.

I’ve already sold six vouchers which translates into $30 for the Maryland SPCA. See how quickly it adds up? We hope to sell at least 50 vouchers. If you’re from the area and interested in buying some vouchers just let me know! Thanks!

Woot For Suits!

I normally buy a new swimsuit (or two) every year but this year I really didn’t feel the need to. I’ve only been swimming a few times and didn’t have any vacations planned. Plus I just couldn’t find anything out there that I liked or could justify spending money on. Normally I can find something at Victoria’s Secret but even they struck out with me this year, plus sometimes I have issues with their tops fittting right. Well, now that I have South Beach in December I felt the need to buy a new swimsuit (or two).

Saturday I went to the mall and actually wandered into VS. I still forget they sell their swimsuits instore now. Granted, it’s hard to find matching peices for whatever reason but it’s nice to be able to try them on and then maybe buy online with the use of some discount codes. I looked around and didn’t see too much but then my mom pointed out one to me.

I was a little iffy because I have issues with triangle tops and bottoms with ties scare me. I just picture them coming off in the ocean or when coming down a water slide. It’s a pretty rational fear if you ask me. I put my feelings aside though and tried it on. I was happily surprised! The top actually fit well and covered everything and the bottoms weren’t that bad either. The only problem? The price tag. $44 for the top and $40 for the bottom. I managed to pick the one suit that wasn’t on sale and that they didn’t offer online. The good news is though I remembered the brand (Hurley) and I’ve googled it and found a few places that offer a better price. I think I’ll order it online next time I get paid.

Of course while looking around for that swimsuit I found a ton of others that I liked. I came across Buckle.com while searching and found a ton of cute suits at pretty reasonable prices. I ended up purchasing this one:

I love animal print and each peice was only $19.95! You can’t beat that! Hopefully it’ll fit and I won’t have to return it.

I really can’t wait for South Beach. Only 155 days until I leave, not that I’m counting or anything.

BookMooch.Com

BookMooch.Com is awesome! What you do is list whatever books you have that you don’t want anymore. Other users can see your list and request a book from you! Then of course you can browse other users lists and requests books from them!

Now, I’m not normally one to get rid of books. I’d say 90% of my books I re-read but I do have a few that I don’t want anymore. I’ve already had 3 people request books from me and I’ve only been a member for a few days! Best part? I have someone sending me a book as well!

It’s free to use. If you have unwanted books or are looking for some new reading material, why not join and check it out?

That Was Odd

Yesterday I went to the mall with my sister after my parents left for a night out. How sad is that? They go out and stay out later then I do! Anyway, that’s not the point of this post.

I wanted to go to a certain mall because I had a Victoria’s Secret gift card I wanted to use. I walk in and look around trying to find what I wanted to spend $50 on. It would be easy to do if they carried my size bra but they don’t. That means I got to spend $50 on undies! Believe it or not, you can get a good amount for $50 if you do the specials like the 5 for $25. I pick out what I want and get to the register. A guy was at the register. I don’t want some guy seeing what kinda undies I bought! I certainly don’t want some guy asking me if I need to be sized today. Plus the fact he had super big ass eyes didn’t help. After he rang me up he kinda tossed my bad at me which pissed me off but I didn’t say anything. The whole time he was ringing me up he did nothing but yawn. It annoyed me.

I know they can’t deny someone a job because of their sex but it’s VS!I don’t like seeing guys in there to begin with. Last time I was there some stupid ass teenage boy was in there holding crap up to himself. Grow. Up. He was asked to leave though after a few minutes of acting like an idiot. Plus I just feel they are opening themselves up for lawsuits. All it takes is one woman customer saying a male employee touched her wrong or made a comment to set off the problems.

Have any of you ladies out there been rang up or helped by a man at VS? Did it bother you or was it no big deal?
